Designed for not-so-restful sleep
Where I live, the temp only breaks 95 a few times a year. Because of this, it is hard to justify the cost of central air. The better option seemed to be a portable AC.

Wonderfully quiet and cool
We love this unit. Our house has a loft that is 10 to 20 degrees hotter than the main floor. As we live in the high mountain desert this can be quite hot!

Sharp Customer Service is a Problem
I actually thought this was a reasonably good air conditioner before the condenser seized after only a couple of months of use and I had to deal with Sharp’s customer service…

So far So good
I have only had the unit for one day but so far I am very impressed. The unit is way quieter than the 7,000 btu GE unit it replaced.

Sleeping easy
We have this in our bedroom and used it all last summer. No AC in our house and it gets very hot in Portland Oregon in the summer.

Too loud, and breaks down quickly
This unit is advertised as being very quiet, however they neglect to mention one thing: when it starts up and shuts down it’s VERY LOUD.
